Packers fans keeping perspective

WEST ALLIS-It was a feast fit for a hearty Packers fan; turkey, ham, even some ground beef laid out buffet style with all the fixings at Studs Pub at 68th and Capitol.

It was the Green Bay loss that was thoroughly unappetizing for die hard fans who had gathered with their friends and family this Thanksgiving.

\"We're having fun on this day of thanks,\" declared Dean Ratas, \"It's all about family. I got all my good family and friends here. And that's what it's all about.\"

Many gathered at the bar began to applaud as Ratas seemed to channel his best Vince Lombardi on the delivery.

But Ratas also added that he thought his team failed to protect the quarterback Matt Flynn who was the third substitute in the line up for the injured Aaron Rodgers.

CBS 58 Sports gave this synopsis of the game:

The Green Bay Packers lost to the Detroit Lions 40-10 Thanksgiving Day in Detroit at Ford Field.

Despite forcing four turnovers, Green Bay was out gained by Detroit 561-126. The Packers offense failed to score a touchdown the entire game. The only touchdown came from a Morgan Burnett fumble return.

With the loss, the Lions are 1.5 games ahead of the Packers in the NFC North. Green Bay's record is now 5-6-1.

We'll have more reaction coming up tonight on the CBS 58 News at 10.
