Packers and Boston Store present donations to five local charities

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Packers and Boston Store are teaming up to make the holiday season extra special for five local charities.

The charities each received a check for $5,000. The organizations were selected based on the immediate needs of families and children who are served. CBS 58 was there when the Milwaukee Rescue Mission was presented with the check in a wrapped gift box.

“The gift will be such a tremendous help. We feed, house, and clothe more than 300 men, women, and children every day in all of our shelters,” said Pat Vanderburgh, President of the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.

The other recipients of the $5,000 surprise include the Salvation Army, Make-A-Wish Wisconsin, Feeding America, and Sojourner Family Peace Center.
