Update: Search called off after citizen reports seeing body floating in Cedar Creek, Ozaukee County

OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office has not received any new reports about a missing person or anyone seeing a body in the Milwaukee River.

The search has been called off and there are no plans to do any further searching.

OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office was called to Cedar Creek on Tuesday after a report of a body floating in the water.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a citizen called 911 to report seeing what appeared to be a body floating around 4:56 p.m. in Cedar Creek.

A search was conducted and no one was located.

The Sheriff's Office says they have not received any reports regarding a missing person.

If anyone sees anything unusual on Cedar Creek or the Milwaukee River within Ozaukee County, they're asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 262-284-7172.
