Owners of Frank's Diner in Kenosha selling after 17 years of business
CBS 58 KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -The tiny railcar restaurant in downtown Kenosha, Frank's Diner, has been an iconic restaurant. After serving customers for 100 years, the owners have announced they are selling.
"It's amazing, that you think about this one little dot in Kenosha Wisconsin and people from all over the world come here. It's crazy." said Owner Kevin Ervin 2 years ago when CBS 58's Amanda Becker did a profile on Frank's Diner.
In a message posted Monday, July 13, Kevin and his wife Julie confirmed after 17 years, they decide to sell, but not too far from the diner's legacy.
Ervin encouraged regulars and customers not to worry in the post as the new owner is longtime employee Pablo Escribano and his wife Diana who "love Frank's as much as we do."
Frank's is known for its huge breakfast special, lovingly called "garbage" and it's known for the sometimes-cheeky attitude of its staff.
It's America's oldest continuously running diner and the Facebook statement says, "Nothing is going to change. Except for that Kevin's crabby ass will no longer be there."
