Our Goose Is Cooked with The Thanksgiving Forecast

Last week we had the snow.  Now for Thanksgiving it's time for rain.  And some could be heavy.  One to two inches of precipitation are possible with the heaviest falling Thursday afternoon and evening.  People living along rivers, creeks, and streams should keep a careful eye on water tables, especially where the snow was the heaviest on Saturday.  At this time, no current flood advisories or statement have been issued by the National Weather Service.

The event will start out as a few showers, mainly Wednesday evening and Thursday morning and then the rainfall is expected to increase by lunch time Thursday. There's still a variance in the different computer models, but you get the idea this will be a real soaker.

Behind the system into Friday morning, the rain will change over to a wintry mix for holiday shoppers.  No accumulation is expected.
