MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- More than 200 students will be warm this winter thanks to FedEx and Operation Warm.
Thirty volunteers, along with parents and school staff, helped kids pick out a winter coat at Albert E. Kagel School Thursday morning, Nov. 2.
Operation Warm manufactures their own high-quality coats to give out.
Volunteers say the kids are always excited to get their coats.
"Oh, that's the best part, you know, we try to kind of give them a personal shopping experience and you can just see them really light up," said Michelle Bartuch, district sales manager for FedEx. "It totally makes their day, that's the most rewarding part."
Just this winter season, Operation Warm plans to give out 4,500 coats in 40 different cities.
They've given a million coats out since the partnership with FedEx began in 2008.
