Operation Dry Water wraps up in Dodge County

Dodge County deputies spent the weekend on the lake for a nationwide effort called Operation Dry Water.

It's a campaign that brings awareness to drinking and boating. ODW is an annual event that always takes place the weekend before the Fourth of July. Their mission is simple, to reduce the number of alcohol related boating accidents.

\"I want everybody safe and for everybody to be safe everyone has to obey the rules,\" said Deputy Scott Petrack.

Deputies say they still plan on patrolling the lakes for the rest of the summer.
