MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Earlier this year, the city of Milwaukee and its partners announced a plan to update the Fond Du Lac and North area with a comprehensive plan.
On Wednesday, the group -- which includes the Dominican Center, Metcalfe Park Community Bridges and Walnut Way -- hosted an open house to give an update on the plan and hear from local people.
The group wants input specifically on housing, commercial corridors, parks and transportation and how the city can make them better in the area.
"So we're really asking people, what do they want to see in their neighborhood, what are the issues they're dealing with on a daily basis, and what are things the city can do to help as much as we can as it's related to development and land use in the area," said the city of Milwaukee's senior planner Kyle Gast.
The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27 at the St. Ann Center.
