UPDATE: GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police have identified the driver they say led a Greenfield Police Officer on a chase that ended in a crash Thursday night as 25-year-old Nicholas O'Brien of West Allis.
The car with O'Brien jumped the curb after the PIT maneuver and hit a tree.
Friends of O'Brien tell us he was a father who will be missed.
The Oak Creek Police Department is handling the investigation.

GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) – One person is dead after a car chase with police led to a crash Thursday night.
Authorities say it happened around 11:38 p.m. near S. 25th St. and W. Euclid Ave. in Milwaukee.
Officers attempted to stop a car traveling at a high rate of speed in Greenfield using a pursuit intervention technique. Police say the suspect continued to drive away, eventually leaving the road and crashing into a tree. The 25-year-old driver from West Allis was pronounced dead.
The officer involved is 29-years-old with five years of experience on the force. As part of protocol, the officer has been placed on leave.
The Oak Creek Police Department is leading the investigation.
