There are enough guns already in circulation on the streets to last two lifetimes, which is why this culture of gun violence will get much worse before it gets better. Short of police being able to go door to door looking for illegal guns, there is no way for them to stop this senseless violence. The City has not done enough to improve life in our poorest neighborhoods, which contributes to the feeling of, nothing to lose, with so many young people.
