Update: One dead in shooting near 100th and Capitol

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee police are investigating an overnight fatal shooting on the northwest side.

They said a 31-year-old man died from a gunshot wound.

The shooting happened early Wednesday morning around two o’clock at a home near 100th and Capitol near Wauwautosa.

Neighbors in the area told CBS 58 News the incident is unsettling.

“Kinda in shock cause this is relatively a nice neighborhood, we have none of those. People walk they dogs. It’s just relatively quiet,” said Adrian Moore.

The victim has not been identified.

An autopsy is being performed by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee Police say an adult man is dead following a shooting early Wednesday morning near 100th St. and Capitol Dr.

The shooting happened around 2:15 a.m.

Authorities say an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
