One Dead in Dane County Rollover, Speed and Alcohol Likely Involved

A 50-year-old Madison man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Dane County occurred Saturday.

Multiple police agencies responded to a single vehicle crash early Saturday morning at the intersection of State Highway 69 and County Highway A in the Town of Montrose in Dane County. Preliminary investigation shows the vehicle went into a ditch and rolled multiple times killing the passenger and seriously injuring the driver.

Excessive speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash. Preliminary charges for the driver like include Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle. The name of the deceased individual is not yet being released until the family is notified.

The driver of the 2007 Toyota SUV was a 52-year-old male from Madison. He was treated at a local hospital.
