WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Early Friday morning around 12:40 the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash on I-894 south near Greenfield.
When deputies arrived they determined that a small SUV collided with a flatbed truck. The driver of the SUV was trapped inside.
The driver was extricated from the car and taken to Milwaukee Regional Medical Center where they were pronounced dead just after 1 a.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.

WEST ALLIS (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Medical Examiner confirms one man is dead following a crash that occurred on southbound I-894 at Greenfield Ave. around 12:30 a.m. on Friday.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, all southbound lanes were closed for around three hours as emergency crews and law enforcement were on scene.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is investigating, along with assistance from West Allis Police and West Allis Fire Department.
