One dead after two pickup trucks collide head-on in Vilas County

VILAS COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The driver that passed away has been identified as 59-year-old Timothy Boss of Manitowish Waters.

All others involved sustained non-life threatening injuries.

VILAS COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One person is dead and several others were injured following a head-on collision in Vilas County.

It happened around 10:19 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of US Hwy 51 and Bakken Road in the Town of Boulder Junction.

Authorities learned that a full size pick-up truck had collided with another full size pick-up truck head on. Extrication was needed and all occupants were taken to a local hospital.

There has been one confirmed fatality as a result of the crash and other non-life threatening injuries to the other occupants and driver.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
