1 dead after fatal crash in Fond du Lac County

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A fatal crash occurred in Fond du Lac County on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The crash involved one fatality and one injury, according to the DOT and the Wisconsin State Patrol Northeast Region Fond du Lac Post, in a press release. 

A semi-tractor trailer was backing into a driveway off State Highway 175. A sedan struck the semi-tractor trailer and was pinned under the trailer, according to the release. Several agencies assisted. 

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner. The passenger of the sedan was flown from the scene with critical injuries. 

The driver of the semi-tractor was not injured. 

The Wisconsin State Patrol will be conducting the reconstruction and crash investigation, according to the release.
