Officials: 10 people safely evacuate Racine home fire worth $150K in damages

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) --- The Racine Fire Department responded to the area of 16th and Park for a report of a fire coming from an upstairs bathroom around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, May 28.

Officials say 10 occupants successfully evacuated the upper unit prior to the arrival of the fire department. 

Officials say there were visible flames coming out of the second story window. 

The fire was brought under control in over an hour. 

The City of Racine Fire Department says the the cause of the fire remains under investigation. There were no injuries reported.

According to officials, the damage estimates for the structure is estimated to be at $100,000 and the contents at $50,000.
