MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Governor Tony Evers has declared October Cybersecurity Awareness Month in Wisconsin.
During the month, people are encouraged to look that their own personal security surrounding their digital profile. Experts say to take the following steps: Own IT, Secure IT, and Protect IT.
- Own IT: Understand your digital profile and how to protect it
- Secure IT: Make sure you set strong passwords and use two-factor authentication
- Protect IT: Understand that anything you put online can be found
