Oak Creek Skate Park celebrates redesign with grand opening

OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- There are some good news for skaters in the Milwaukee area.
The newly redone Oak Creek Skate Park held its grand opening on Saturday, Aug. 21.
The city invested $300,000 to modernize the park, because their ramps were outdated. This redesigned park features a half pipe, quarter pipe, launch ramp, and rails.
Oak Creek Mayor Daniel Bukiewicz says this park is huge for the city.
"Oak Creek was one of the first communities in the county to have a skatepark so we're just so happy to have one of the premier ones in Milwaukee county now," Mayor Bukiewicz said.
The new park is located in the 1300 block of Drexel Avenue in Oak Creek.
