November will start unsettled, then cold

We will skip out on the rain today as a strong system passes just to our south going through the Ohio River Valley, then eventually to the Northeast. The skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy today with cooler temperatures near 50.

Confidence is building with two things: rainy this weekend and chilly next week. Expect rain chances to ramp up by Saturday night and into Sunday. There even could be an associated wintry mix, especially north and west of Milwaukee. The locations that see the heaviest rainfall could see close to one inch.

All eyes will be on another rain maker for early next week that will have enough energy to pull some very chilly air down from Canada by week’s end. This will usher in the threat of BY FAR the coldest air of the season. High temperatures could plunge into the 30s, and overnight lows into the 20s.
