Non-profits team up for Match Day 2015
The Greater Foundation brought together 20 non-profit organizations in the 2015 Match Day. Match Day is an annual 24 hour online giving event that raises awareness of the need of food and shelter in the Milwaukee area. This year, Match Day will take place on March 19th.
According to Greater Milwaukee Foundation CEO Ellen Gilligan, the first three years of Match Day brought in more than $7.6 million in donations for non-profit organizations. \"Our participating nonprofits are vital to providing basic needs for so many in our community, and the funds that are raised on this day strengthen their capacity to serve those who need it most,\" says Gilligan.
