MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A new sculpture installation, a national musical premiere and a major golf tournament are among the events drawing attention across the Milwaukee region over the weekend, and Ian Thompson of Visit Milwaukee joined us on Thursday, May 29 to offer a peek.
Artist Ike Wynter will unveil his newest public artwork, "Fresh. Flavor. Forward." on Thursday at the Milwaukee Public Market. The piece incorporates salvaged materials from the set of Bravo’s "Top Chef" and will be on display from 4 to 6 p.m.
Also beginning Thursday, the Marcus Performing Arts Center will host the Wisconsin premiere of "MJ the Musical," with evening and weekend performances scheduled through Sunday, June 1.
The 2025 U.S. Women’s Open began Wednesday, May 28 at Erin Hills and continues through Sunday, June 1. The championship, organized by the USGA, features top players including Nelly Korda and Yuka Saso.
The Little Village Play Cafe will hold troll-themed enrichment activities through Friday, May 30 with sessions at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Children can participate in sculpture crafting and voting for favorite troll designs.
