Milwaukee Police Officer injured following foot pursuit near 94th and Marion

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee Police Officer was injured following a foot pursuit on Friday evening.

Police say a vehicle pursuit was initiated by the Neighborhood Task Force near 27th and Center around 8:30 p.m.

The suspect abandoned the vehicle near 94th and Marion and fled on foot.

A foot pursuit was then initiated and one officer was injured.

The injured officer is from district 5 and the extent of their injury is unknown at this time.

The suspect was taken into custody.
