Update: The NWS is scaling back counties as the storms clear. The watch will be done well before 9 pm.
The SPC has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 pm for the counties along and south of I-94. Hot and humid conditions are fueling showers and storms this afternoon.
Storms that do fire will have a chance to produce quarter hail and gusty winds to 60 mph. There is some shear, so a rotating storm isn't out of the question, but any tornado threat would be isolated. Storms should fall apart after sundown.
