New Ride-share App in Milwaukee uses "Vetted" Taxicab Drivers
A new rideshare App that competes with Uber and Lift has launched in Milwaukee.
“Allows riders to “bid” and negotiate fares directly with fully licensed, thoroughly vetted and regulated taxicab drivers that have passed extensive background checks by the cities and states where they work,” according to the press release.
BidRide recently launched its test program in Milwaukee, WI, with plans to expand to additional markets throughout 2016.
Presently, the company is looking for more taxicab drivers and prospective riders to participate and test the platform through its website before BidRide’s full launch in early April when the app will be available for download.
The test program offers riders free rides up to $20 in exchange for their feedback through surveys for the duration of the test program which ends on March 15th.
By April, the new smartphone app will be available for download on both Apple based and Android based operating phone systems. For now, individuals can use the service through the company’s official website.
Any taxicab driver that is interested in driving for BidRide or anyone interested in becoming a test rider, can sign up on the company’s website at: www.bidrides.net
