New Partnership in Milwaukee Between Small Business Administration and LGBT Chamber of Commerce

Did you know that 1/3 of Fortune 500 companies actively seek LGBT-owned small businesses to contract with?

On Thursday,  the Business Builder event was held in Milwaukee.

Three of Wisconsin's  LGBTE-Business Enterprise certified firms, along with National Gay and Lesbian Chamber certification experts and interested business owners, along with  Congressman Mark Pocan, owner of an LGBTBE business which also has received SBA assistance, welcomed other local entrepreneurs to share information about the resources to make their business grow.

SBA's Wisconsin District Office and the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce have announced that Milwaukee announced a Strategic Alliance Memorandum (SAM) formalizing their developing relationship and committing them to continued collaboration.

The Milwaukee LGBT Business Builder, eleventh in the national series, will be the first activity to occur with the new SAM in place.  Created by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), this initiative increases access to growth opportunities for America's 1.4 million LGBT business owners.   The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber has more than 400 members.
