Part of Milwaukee's Clarke Square Neighborhood is getting a bit brighter.
A new mural was unveiled at a building on 25th and National.
The artist says the mural celebrates diversity by using hands modeled after members of the community. Mayor Tom Barrett thinks the mural symbolizes re-investment in the Clarke Square Neighborhood.
"You can see all these hands holding other hands and having individuals of all ages, but particularly children holding hands is a great symbol of what we're trying to do in this neighborhood," Mayor Tom Barrett said.
The mural is on the side of a building that was foreclosed and owned by the city. New owners bought it, renovated the building, and are renting out the space to artists and musicians.
