Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Joey
Food and lots of fun! That's what organizers hoped for tonight's community-wide potluck in Milwaukee's Sherman Park.
The Sherman Park Community Association organized the event which was aimed at bringing people in the neighborhood together.
People were asked to bring a dish or a beverage.
Organizers say it was really nice to see all of the kids that came out for the event. "I have a lot of kids from my block here and a lot of kids we see in the park. They're very enthusiastic about growing and helping out. That's good and something to keep them busy," said organizer Camille Mays.
People also got to see live cooking demonstrations with healthy vegetable recipes.
