OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Tuesday, we heard from neighbors challenging a proposal to bring a Buc-ees location to Oak Creek.
A newly filed lawsuit argues the Common Council violated city ordinance by approving the site's zoning change.
The group who filed the case has two main concerns -- the flow of traffic and the potential light pollution.
They argue the city is downplaying the impacts of building a 120-pump gas station, especially one with such a large fan base.
"There's a lot of people that will be impacted by something like this. The size and circus this type of development brings is beyond anything we've ever seen," said Sara Shreve, Oak Creek Neighbors United.
The Common Council is expected to take up the rezoning process again in June.
During that conversation, they say they'll go more in depth on traffic flow and lighting.
As of Tuesday night, a hearing on this lawsuit hasn't been scheduled.
