Najee Harmon charged with armed robbery
The man who shot a Wauwatosa Police Detective on June 19 has been charged with armed robbery. Officers were investigating a burglary when the shooting happened.
According to the criminal complaint, Najee Harmon and Simione Parks, on June 16, robbed a woman at gunpoint at the Check Cashing Place at 5500 W. Fond du Lac Ave.
The victim told officers she went with her brother to the Check Cashing Place. She was waiting in her car for her brother who went inside the business.
The two defendants got out of a black car and went into the business. They came back outside and got into the car. And then the driver got out of the black car, entered the rear passenger door of her brother's car. He put a gun to her neck and demanded the car keys and threatened to shoot her. She told him she didn't have the keys, and he said, \"I want all the money or I'm going to shoot you.\"
She gave him her red leather wallet and he exited her brother's car and got into the Parks' car. The vehicle fled the area.
There was security video of the armed robbery, according to the criminal complaint.
According to security video, Najee Harmon was the defendant that entered the woman's car.
