Municipal County Building Hosts Second Warrant Forgiveness Session

The Municipal County Building in downtown Milwaukee hosted the second warrant forgiveness session on Wednesday.

Last week’s first session was packed with long lines of people waiting for their minor offenses to be wiped away clean with a new plan for payment.

These included offenses such as outstanding parking tickets.

Warrant forgiveness is the brainchild of three judges who said it was time to give folks a fresh start.

"We were just sitting at a meeting getting a report on what's been happening and we said why can't we just do this in the City of Milwaukee. We have a huge number of warrants, a huge number of drivers license suspended we can do it on our own," says Judge Valarie Hill.

The final opportunity to speak with a judge about a minor offense warrant is next Wednesday, November 16th.
