The first-ever Festival of Flowers is coming to Milwaukee 🌺
HALES CORNERS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A fire tore through part of the Plum Tree Apartments on College Avenue in Hales Corners on Friday, June 4. Eight apartment units were impacted, leaving 15 people displaced.
The Hales Corners Fire Department was called to the scene around 5:15 a.m., for a report of a fire on a second floor balcony.
More fire crews were requested to the scene, including Franklin, Greenfield, Greendale, West Allis, and Milwaukee Fire Departments.
Eight apartment units were impacted. Everyone got out safely and no injuries were reported.
Officials say the building looks as if it will be a total loss, due to the roof being almost completely gone and some of the floor collapsed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The American Red Cross is assisting those displaced from the blaze.
