MUKWONAGO, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man waved to a police officer in Mukwonago, which according to police, is how they later recognized him and charged him with robbing a Walgreens store.
A man in a hooded sweatshirt and scarf over his face threatened pharmacy workers and took medications for pain and anxiety.
According to the criminal complaint, the police officer watched surveillance video and recognized the hooded man as 36-year-old Gregory Haines, a man he'd taken to jail for a previous offense three days earlier and the same man who waved to him earlier in the day.
Haines was arrested for armed robbery.
