MPS' Parkside and ALBA schools temporarily transition to virtual learning

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two more MPS schools are temporarily moving to virtual learning.

Academia de Lenguaje y Bellas Artes (ALBA) and Milwaukee Parkside School for the Arts will transition to virtual learning starting Thursday, Feb. 3. 

Students will return to in-person learning on Wednesday, Feb. 16, the first day of school after the conclusion of MPS' 10-day Covid-19 quarantine period.

MPS says the decision was made due to the school community reporting 3% or more of the total school population has tested positive for Covid within a 14-day period.

Staff will continue to report to their respective buildings and work from their individual classrooms or office space.
