MPD: 38-year-old taken into custody after barricading himself inside home with 2 children

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department responded to a barricaded subject on Sunday, Feb. 18.

It happened around 2:38 p.m., near 24th and Capitol. The subject was barricaded inside a residence with two 5-year-old children. 

Around 4:49 p.m., police were able to take the 38-year-old male into custody. A rifle was recovered. 

The children were not harmed. 

Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
