MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee Police Department motorcycle officer and a woman were taken to the hospital following a crash that happened near 35th and Lincoln on Monday, July 17. 

Police say around 6:20 p.m., a 44-year-old male officer with 10 years of service, was traveling southbound on 35th Street when a driver making a left in front of him caused the officer to collide with the vehicle. 

The driver of the vehicle, a 43-year-old Milwaukee woman, stayed on scene and was subsequently cited. 

Both the driver and woman were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
