MPD investigating three shootings on Friday

MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police are investigating three unrelated shootings on Friday.  Fortunately, all of the victims are expected to survive their injuries.

Around 2:20 PM, a 24-year-old man went to a local hospital for treatment of a non-fatal gun shot wound.   According to the MPD, the man said  he was shot during an attempted robbery in the area of N 60th Street and W Fond du Lac Avenue.   The man refused the suspect’s demands.   The victim was shot as he was running away.   The MPD said the victim was taken to a local hospital by an associate.   The Police are searching for the suspect.

An ongoing dispute between two men resulted in one of the men being shot Friday evening around 5:50 PM.   According to the MPD, one of the men confronted the other in the area of 9100 N 94th Street  and began destroying his property.   During the confrontation, the suspect shot and wounded the second man.   The 51-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life threating wound.   A suspect was arrested and the investigation into the shooting continues.

Around 7 PM a 21-year-old man was shot while seated in his vehicle at N 16th and W Hadley Streets.   According to the MPD, for some unknown reason, an unknown subject began firing a gun.   One of the bullets entered the vehicle and struck the victim, who was taken to the hospital by a friend.   The MPD is continuing to look for suspects in the incident.
