MPD investigating armed robbery near UWM

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Milwaukee police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred near UWM around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9.

Police say it happened in the 2900 block of Bartlett.

According to a UWM Safe Alert, two victims were approached by two suspects while walking on the sidewalk. One of the suspects pointed a handgun and threatening the victims while robbing them. The suspects fled south.

According to police:

The first suspect is described as a black male, 5'7, 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing a blue sweater and brandishing a semi-automatic handgun.

The second suspect's description is unknown, but also was brandishing a semi-automatic handgun.
