MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are identifying the victim as Fentriess A. Boyd.

MPD continues to search for a suspect. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- According to Milwaukee Police the incident is being investigated as a homicide. The fatal victim of the shooting has been identified as a 43-year-old man.

Police say the victim was driving near 17th and Walnut around 2:30 p.m. Saturday when someone shot him from another car. The victim's car then crashed into a tree and started on fire.

The victim died from his injuries.

A 38-year-old man who was a passenger in the car suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. 

Police believe that the victim was involved in a fight earlier on Saturday near 7th and Vliet.

Milwaukee Police are looking for the suspect.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- One person has died as the result of an apparent shooting and subsequent car crash at N 16th and W Walnut Streets.   The Milwaukee Medical Examiners Office confirms that it was notified of the death this afternoon at Froedtert Hospital.  

The victim was one of two people taken to the hospital following an car crash around 2:35 PM at 16th and Walnut.  Authorities are investigating the incident which apparently began elsewhere.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two people were taken to the hospital this afternoon after an apparent shooting and car crash at N 16th and W Walnut Streets around 2:35 PM.   The Milwaukee Fire Department was called to extricate the passengers of the car, but when firefighters arrived, the individuals had already gotten out of the vehicle.   The two individuals were taken for treatment at a local hospital.   No word yet on which, if any of the persons in the car, were struck by the reported gunfire.  The MPD is still on scene investigating the incident.
