MPD asking for help in identifying armed robbery suspect

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for an armed robbery on Saturday.

Authorities say the robbery happened around 10:15 a.m. near 76th St. and Good Hope Rd.

Police say the victim and suspect met on a social media marketplace where the suspect agreed to buy an item from the victim.

While at the location, the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and robbed them of their property and money.

The suspect is described as a 20-year-old black man weighing 160 pounds, 5’09”, with long dreadlocks and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a grey jacket with a hood, a black t-shirt, dark pants and dark shoes.

He was last seen driving a black four-door Nissan Altima north on 76th St.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 414-935-7360. Police advise anyone purchasing items online from an unknown person can meet at any of MPD’s police districts.
