MPD: 66-year-old woman seriously injured after being shot inside car near 76th and Green Tree

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man has now been charged five years later in the shooting case after investigators say his own rap lyrics cracked the case. 

Johnny Ford is accused of shooting a 66-year-old woman near 76th and Green Tree back in 2021. She survived the shooting. 

Prosecutors say police found a notebook with rap lyrics describing the case during a recent search of Ford's home, along with guns and drugs.

Ford now faces several charges, including attempted first-degree intentional homicide. 


MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police say a 66-year-old Milwaukee woman was shot inside her car on Monday, June 14.

Police say it happened near 76th and Green Tree around 2:34 p.m.

According to police, the suspect approached in a car and fired several shot at the victim's vehicle, subsequently striking her.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Police are seeking unknown suspects.
