MPD: 6-year-old girl seriously hurt in shooting near 49th and Meinecke

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 6-year-old girl was shot near 49th and Meinecke in Milwaukee on Sunday, July 24.
Police said it happened at a residence around 7:30 a.m.
The 6-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody and charges are expected.
