MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A fatal shooting around 7:07 p.m. Thursday night left a 21-year-old man dead.

Milwaukee police say it happened near the corner of 39th and Capitol. 

The victim was identified by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office Friday as William Brooks.

The ME's office says Brooks was shot by an unknown suspect, possibly in a drive-by shooting. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
