MPD: 11 arrested after 9 police pursuits over the weekend

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police were involved in nine vehicle pursuits over the weekend which led to 9 arrests.

All of them occurred in the City of Milwaukee.

Police say three guns and a quantity of illegal drugs were recovered.

The pursuits were initiated due to reckless driving, armed robbery and property crime offenses.

In seven of the nine pursuits, the drivers of the fleeing vehicles were arrested. Police are still searching for one known suspect.

Criminal charges for the eleven individuals apprehended in connection with the weekend pursuits will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.

Police said in a press release,

"The Milwaukee Police Department is committed to reducing reckless driving and making the city a safe place to live, work and raise a family."
