MPD: 1-year-old boy injured by broken glass after shots fired near 12th and Capitol

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating after a 1-year-old boy was injured in a shots fired incident Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Police say a suspect fired several shots into a vehicle traveling near 12th and Capitol around 4:45 p.m.

As a result, a 1-year-old boy sustained non-life threatening lacerations from broken glass. 

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested. 

Authorities say criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County DA's Office in the coming days.
