MPD: 1 dead, 3 injured in overnight shootings

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating 4 separate shootings that left one person dead and three others injured Sunday night, Aug. 29 into Monday, Aug. 30.

The fatal shooting  happened around 12:05 a.m. on Appleton Ave. near Fairmount. The victim was found at a different location near 92nd St. and W. Michigan St., and appears to be between the age of 18 and 23. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Police are looking for unknown suspects.

Police are also investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday, Aug. 29 around 10:25 p.m. near 25th and Auer. A 17-year-old Milwaukee man sustained a non-life threatening injury.  The victim arrived at a local hospital. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.  Milwaukee Police continue to seek unknown suspects.

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that occurred as the result of an attempted robbery near 74th and Villard. It happened on Sunday, Aug. 29 around 10:26 p.m. A 15-year-old Milwaukee male sustained a serious gunshot injury.  The victim was transported to a local hospital. Milwaukee Police have a suspect in custody. 

A 35-year-old man sustained non-life threatening injuries after being caught in the crossfire of two groups shooting at each other. It happened near 64th and Florist in Milwaukee. Milwaukee police continue to seek unknown suspects.
