Motorcyclists injured in Mequon crash Thursday
Alcohol and reckless driving are considered factors in the crash of two motorcyclists Thursday night on I-43 in Mequon. According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcyclist collided with each other and then another vehicle around 9:45 PM. Both riders were injured in the accident that happened near Pioneer Road in Mequon. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a 53-year-old Sheboygan man was taken by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital with what is described as serious injuries. The other rider, a 52-year-old Waldo man was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, Ozaukee with minor injuries. The motorcycle drivers knew each other and were traveling together from Milwaukee.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office is further investigating the accident.
