Motorcycle crash leaves man dead, woman injured

BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities have identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash in Burlington, as 54-year-old Scott E. Wicks of Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department is reporting a serious motorcycle crash on Saturday, April 15, around 3:37 p.m. near 312th and 7th.

It was first reported that a 2013 Harley Davidson Motorcycle was travelling southbound on 312th Avenue and lost control at the curve as it approached 7th Street (CTH BB).

According to deputies, the motorcycle went off the road and crashed into the ditch line on the west side of 312th Avenue. The road was wet as due to the recent rain. The motorcycle had two riders and was extremely damaged.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 54-year-old man out of Buffalo Grove Illinois, died at the scene.

The female passenger of the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Due to the crash resulting in a death, the Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) responded to the scene to help in the accident investigation.


The name of the deceased is not being released pending proper notification.

The investigation is still active.
