A mother says her daughter's murder investigation is falling through the cracks.

Chrisima Murry would have turned 15-years-old on May 1st. However, her life was violently cut short on February 23rd of 2017.

To celebrate her birthday,  family and friends came together to remember her.

Chrisima Murry's mother says she has no idea what led up to the shooting that killed her daughter but does know - there were plenty of people outside that evening who saw something and wants someone to come forward to help solve this case.

"How can a neighborhood full of people be outside and the only thing they say is they don't know," says LaWanda McDowell, Chrisima's mother.

Mcdowell says she heard rumors about a fight breaking out on 50th and Fairmount, but no real information about what happened that evening.

On her birthday, Chrisima's five brothers and sisters wore jackets in her honor and loved ones held pink balloons on what would have been her 15th birthday.
"Whoever know anything whoever was there whoever saw anything, just say something. Drop a tip," says McDowell.

We did reach out to Milwaukee Police and haven't heard back just yet.
