More than 140 adoptable animals flown into Waukesha County Airport from shelters in south

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- More than 140 dogs and cats will soon be looking for new homes in Southeast Wisconsin. 

Tuesday, May 6, HAWS and Greater Good Charities flew pets in overcrowded shelters from Louisiana, Alabama, and Tennessee, into the Waukesha County Airport. 

Tuesday's efforts are hoped to be a fresh start for these pets, with plenty of love to give.

The animals will be taken in by Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS), Elmbrook Humane Society, Humane Society of Jefferson County, and Washington County Humane Society.
