MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- DPW crews are in position as another round of ice and wintry weather approaches.
Trucks have been out since Tuesday after an icy glaze made roads treacherous.
DPW is under what they call a general ice control. They have more than 100 trucks out salting streets ahead of the storm. Crews are focusing on side streets throughout the day and plan to keep that up Wednesday night.
They say the key to dealing with this type of storm is to stay out ahead of it.
We Energies says they restored power to about 11,000 customers overnight. Most of the outages were due to ice buildup on equipment or icy branches that fell on power lines. They say they are ready for another round of possible outages Wednesday night.
